Tentative Itinerary

The schedule is subject to some changes, but here EF’s stated itinerary for the London & Rome trip (with some notes from me).

Day 1: Fly overnight to London.

Day 2: London
– Meet your Tour Director at the airport in London.
– Take a walking tour of London: The Strand; Trafalgar Square; Leicester Square; Covent Garden. Be prepared for a lot of walking right off the bat!

Day 3: London
– Take an expertly guided tour of London: Big Ben and Houses of Parliament; Piccadilly Circus; St. Paul’s Cathedral; Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (if scheduled).
– We plan to attend the Windsor Castle excursion in the afternoon. This is new to me!

Day 4: London
– Visit the Tower of London. We can see the Crown Jewels and legendary Tower ravens.
– Visit a Borough Market, then there should be some time to explore on our own. This would be the time when we could possibly visit “extra” sights. I will know how much time we will have closer to our travel date, and that will let us know if we can see several things as a large group or if we should split up so that small groups can go see their favorite place of interest.
– Attend an evening theater performance at the Globe Theater. This will be the second performance I’ve gotten to see at the Globe and I am SO EXCITED.

Day 5: London | Rome
– Board an afternoon flight to Rome.
– After dinner, experience Rome by Night: Trevi Fountain; Pantheon; Piazza; Navona; Spanish Steps.

Day 6: Rome
– Take an expertly guided tour of Vatican City.
– Visit the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.
– We’ve signed up for the “gladiator school experience” for this afternoon.

Day 7: Rome
– Take an expertly guided tour of Rome.
– Visit the Colosseum.
– Explore a local market.

Day 8: Depart for home.

Piccadilly Circus
London

Bernini’s Barcaccia Fountain and Spanish Steps
Rome

Thanks for asking – the travel window is July 17-24, but that’s not the exact dates. We will know the exact dates around 110 days out, which is when they finalize grouping and flights and all that. I will email everyone (through the EF email you made an account with) when they send me that info. It’s not too much longer now – maybe a month.
